2010 Summer Company Students

The Sarnia-Lambton Economic Partnership with the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade helped a group of local students successfully start and run their own businesses through the Summer Company Program. This program gives students up to 3000 dollars, training and a mentor to help them succeed! The following students successfully completed the program:

Jeff Kabbes, an LCCVI student from Brigden started Bear Creek Rabbitry. He raises and sells frozen rabbit meat, a healthy alternative, at the Petrolia farmers market and is often found promoting his product through samples. Brendan Scieman, a Fanshawe College design student from Corunna started a company called Circle One Screen Printing. Brendan offers very affordable screen printing services. Circle One is able to make apparel with custom graphics for any occasion, event, business or organization. Contact him at circleonescreenprinting@gmail.com.

Chloe Milne, a Northern student and aspiring photographer has been offering quality photos without a professional price. She also guarantees one week edits and can help you choose a great location for your photo shoot. To contact Chloe email her at chloemilnephotography@live.com.

Andreane Longpre is a Fanshawe College student in her second year of photography. She started a business called Freedom Photography using the skills she has acquired as a photography student. Ember Chapdelaine is a Northern Collegiate Student who has started a business called Media Chapdelaine. Her main focus has been designing and selling t-shirts with a portion of the proceeds going towards helping talented kids pay the cost of their expensive competitive sports. Jessica Rurink is a Baker College student and the owner of Doggie Styles Boutique, fashions for the furry and fabulous. She is in the business of designing superior quality and affordable pieces that mirror current fashion trends. She offers products for all dog sizes and breeds. Collin Vandenheuvel is a St. Patrick's student and the owner of Preferred Truck Wash specializing in the cleaning of transport trucks. He offers exterior and interior cleaning, hand wash, interior vacuum and also offers his services to cars and trucks. To contact Collin call (519) 312-2232.

Luke Stephens, an LCCVI student from Brigden started a business called Luke's Produce, a produce stand located in Sombra that offers a variety of seasonal fruits and vegetables. Luke can be contacted at (519) 331-5310.

David Morden, a UWO student from Sarnia started a business called Prestige Exterior Cleaners. David offers a variety of exterior cleaning and maintenance services to help you keep your property looking its best. Contact David at (519) 381-8074.
