Ultra Violet Printing Press

Three UV press lines with four folders enable Huron Web to print more than 100,000 glossy coated inserts per hour. In addition, the company has three cold set press lines for non-coated inserts and publications.

Huron Web is constantly upgrading equipment.

Computers and servers are replaced every 18 months and presses are upgraded constantly. There was excitement in the pressroom in November when the company launched its third Ultra Violet press line increasing heat set capacity.

Huron Web now operates six press lines, three UV with four folders and three cold set lines with three folders for printing of non glossy inserts and newspapers. The company prints the largest weekly newspaper in Michigan, the Grosse Pointe News, a 48 page process colour broadsheet with nearly a dozen inserts.

Huron Web has a multi pocket inserting machine with inkjet and a large trim and stitch line for magazine and specialty publications.
